MOUNT HOPE Bishop Serratelli made a pastoral visit to St. Bernard Parish here August 2 and celebrated Mass for the 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time. St. Bernard is considered one of the smallest parishes in the diocese and is part of Rockaway Township. It was founded in 1855 as a mission church to St. Mary Parish in Dover. The mission became a parish in 1875.
